Ellen Hubbard
Ellen Hubbard is responsible for communicating the mission of The Heritage Foundation, as well as our effectiveness in promoting conservative values, to members and prospective members who reside in 10 states throughout the nation. Those states are: Washington, Oregon, Utah, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas, New York, Florida, Arizona and California.
Before joining Heritage in 2013 as manager of major gift planning, Hubbard worked as a television news reporter and anchor for stations in Florida and Idaho and later practiced law as a litigation attorney in Dallas, Texas.
A committed advocate for conservatism, she left the legal profession to team up with her husband, Jim, in founding American Film Renaissance. The non-profit organization seeks to use entertainment to educate “low information” voters by producing films and supporting filmmakers who embrace traditional American values.
Hubbard was born and raised in Minnesota. She received her juris doctor degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law. She also holds a bachelor of arts degree in history and political science from Willamette University in Salem, Ore.
An avid runner, Hubbard has completed the Lake Tahoe and Twin Cities marathons. She and her husband currently reside in the Reno-Tahoe area of Nevada.
