Tim was born and raised in Montana, graduating from Bozeman Senior High School and then Montana State University. He grew up around horses and ranching, but also developed a lifelong love for skiing. After college Tim began a career in ski coaching, first at Big Sky and then Bridger Bowl in Montana. In 1978 he moved to Brattleboro, Vermont to begin working for the Eastern Region of the United State Ski Association, for one year as Assistant Alpine Competition Director and then seven years as the Director. Between 1986 and 1988, Tim worked at Green Mountain Valley School, Waitsfield, Vermont, a prep school specifically created for serious junior ski racers. His dual positions were Assistant Headmaster and Director of Training.

In 1988 he moved to Park City, Utah to begin a fourteen year career as Director of Coaching Education for United States Skiing and the United States Ski Team. In this position he directed the design, content, administration, and execution of the coaching education system for all alpine ski coaches in America. He also oversaw the development and growth of the coaching education system for cross country, freestyle, jumping, and snowboard coaches. Tim retired from this position in the spring of 2002. From 2003 thru 2007 he was the Head Junior 3-4-5 Coach for the Park City Ski Team, one of the premier ski clubs in the U.S.

In Tim’s 35+ year career as a ski racing coach and sport administrator, he has worked with athletes at every level.  He has coached athletes at competitions in ten different countries, on three continents. These events include Junior Olympics, National Championships, World Children’s Championships, World Junior Championships, and World Cups.

In 2008 he and his wife Karin started Mountain Golf Real Estate, as a small, independent company designed to meet all real estate needs of their clients in the Park City resort community. In the spring of 2013 he joined Prudential – Utah Real Estate and, with Karin, works within Prudential as the Ross Park City Real Estate Team to continue meeting all needs of their clients.

Tim has lived in Park City, Utah since 1988 and through his wife, Karin, has been involved with real estate, directly or indirectly, for the past 15 years. He understands the local market and its evolution, as well as understanding the national and international ski resort market and industry. He brings to the real estate industry great “people skills” from a career working with elite athletes.
Tim enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, kayaking, and camping, as well as continuing some private coaching. He and Karin have five, grown children and he especially enjoys spoiling his three grandchildren.
